Reasons to buy the Insta360 Ace Pro 2

  • 8K video Insta360 is currently the only action camera company offering 8K video with the Ace Pro 2 and Insta360 Ace Pro. The Ace Pro 2 increases the framerate of 8K footage to 30fps.
  • Peak performance The Ace Pro 2 is overall an amazing action camera, offering excellent performance, great image stabilization, good battery life and a relatively rugged build. The sensor technology is as good as you can get right now, far ahead of the competition.
  • Flip screen The flip screen can be very useful if you plan on filming yourself a lot, making it easier to frame correctly and preview your footage. It can be a great pick for getting third person footage or yourself with a selfie stick.

Reasons to avoid the Insta360 Ace Pro 2

  • Pricey The Ace Pro 2 has the overall best sensor technology of the moment but it is more expensive than it's main competitors, the GoPro Hero 13 Black and the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. If you don't need 8K video, you might want to consider another product amongst the best action cameras.
  • Not the best low light performance The DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro still offers the best low light performance with it's SuperNight mode. If filming in the dark is a must for your, you might want to consider the Action 5 Pro.
  • Flip screen The flip screen can be very useful for filming one's self, but it does introduce a point of failure and makes the overall build less rugged than other competitors. You might want to consider the GoPro Hero 13 Black, it's predecessor the GoPro Hero 12 Black or the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro which have a simpler design if you are afraid the Ace Pro 2 won't be sturdy enough for your usage.
